WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City

Council of the city of Newport Beach an agreement dated March 17,
4 1941, wherein the American Concrete and Steel Pipe Company, a
5
corporation, is referred to as party of the first part, and the
6 City of Newport Beach is referred to as the party of the second
7 part; and
8 WHEREAS, the first party agrees to sell and the second
9
party agrees to purchase from the first part, at the price herein -
10 after stated, the following equipment, to —wit:
11 Approximately 2320 lineal feet of
12 20 diameter Hume concrete cylinder
pipe, per lineal foot ......
...$ 3.75
13 And WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council of the
14 City of Newport Beach, said agreement is in all respects Just and
15 fair and said agreement was made pursuant to written notice
16 inviting bids, and the award of bid made thereafter.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; That the Mayor and
18 City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
19 directed, authorized and instructed to execute said agreement on
20 behalf of the city of Newport Beach.

22 I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
23 duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held
24
on the 17th day of March, 1941, by the following vote, to— Veit:.
