1 RESOLUTION NO.
2 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
3 Council of the city of Newport Beach an agreement wherein the
4 City of Newport Beach is designated as first party,and C. E.
5 ;McFarland is designated as second party; and
6 WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the first party
7 as owner of a certain pier or wharf in the city of Newport Beach,
8 extending out into the waters ofthe Pacific Ocean, grants to the
9 second party the exclusive right and privilege of loading and
10 unloading passengers to and from said pier, to his stationary
11 fishing barges anchored off the shore line of the city of Newport
12 Beach; and
13 WHEREAS, said second party is given said license for a
14 period of one year from December let, 1940, at the yearly rental
15 of $600.000 payable as follows: $200.00 on June 1st, 19410
16 4200.00 on July let, 1941, and X200.00 on August let, 1941, upon
17 the terms and conditions in said agreement set forth; and
18 '17HEREAS, it is deemed for the best interests of said
19 City of Newport Beach that said license be granted as aforesaid.
20 NOWO THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the 1-myor and
21 City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
22 directed and aut;zorized to execute said license agreement in the
23 name of and on behalf ofthe city of Newport Beach, and that a duly
24 executed copy thereof be delivered to the second party.
