RESOLUTION NO. I H--1 '-f —a—
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach, a certain agreement between
Croft & Neville, as first party, and the City of Newport Beach as
second party, said agreement being dated October 20th, 1941; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the second party
awards to the first party the contract for the furnishing by
first party to second party of all required labor, materials,
transportation, plant, tools and services for the construction
of a pier and boat slips on public property located on the north
side of the Lido Channel and easterly of Tract No. 919 in the
city of Newport Beach, all in accordance with first party's
written proposal and the plans and specifications for the doing
of said work, for the consideration therein specified; and
WHEREAS, said agreement specifically sets forth the
consideration, terms and conditions under which said equipment
and services are to be furnished; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
contract be awarded to the party of the first part therein named.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said agreement in
the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and the
City Clerk shall deliver a duly executed copy thereof to first
party.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly passed and adopted by the City Councilof the city of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of
October, 1941, by the following vote, twit
