RESOLUTION NO. t9
WHEREAS, one CLAUDE WILLIAM HIPPLER and ELEANOR F.
husband and wife, offered to the City of Newport Beach the sum of
$300.00 for Lot 15, Tract No. 682, Corona Del Mar, in the city of
Newport Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 20, page 19 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach by Resolution No.
2359, duly passed and adopted, accepted said offer of Claude
William Hippler and Eleanor F. Hippler, husband and wife; and
WHEREAS, said Claude William Hippler and Eleanor F.
Hippler, his wife, have only paid on account of the purchase price
aforesaid, the sum of $30.00, and have wholly failed, neglected and
refused to pay the balance of $270.00, although demand has been mad
upon them on numerous occasions to pay the balance due as aforesaid
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said Resolution No.
2359 aforesaid, be and the same is hereby rescinded and declared
of no further force or effect for any purpose whatever.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sale of said property
heretofore mentioned, to the said Claude William Hippler and
Eleanor F. Hippler, his wife, be, and the same is hereby cancelled
as of this date, and the moneys heretofore paid thereon by the said
Claude William Hippler and Eleanor F. Hippler, his wife, to the
City of Newport Beach, are hereby declared to be forfeited to the
said City of Nevrport Beach for the failure of said Claude William
Hippler and Eleanor F. Hippler, his wife, to pay the balance of
said purchase price aforesaid.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd
