RESOLUTION N0. ()'•,''
WHEREAS, one CLIFFORD K. VARNER, a single man, offered
to the City of Newport Beach the sum of $150.00 for Lot 10, Block
530, Lancaster's Addition, in the city of Newport Beach, as shown
on a Map recorded in Book 5, page 14 of Miscellaneous Mapes
records of Orange County, California; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beads by Resolution No.
2399, duly passed and adopted, accepted said offer of Clifford
K. Varner; and
WHEREAS, said Clifford K. Varner, have only paid on
account of the purchase price aforesaid, the sum of $20.00, and
has wholly failed, neglected and refused to pay the balance of
1130.00, although demand has been made upon him on numerous
occasions to pay the balance due as aforesaid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said Resolution
No. 2399 aforesaid, be and the same is hereby rescinded and
declared of no further force or effect for any purpose whatever.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sale of said property
heretofore mentioned, to the said Clifford K. Varner, be and
the same is hereby cancelled as of this date, and the moneys
heretofore paid thereon by the said Clifford K. Varner to the
City of Newport Beach, are hereby declared to be forfeited to the
said City of Newport Beach for the failure of said Clifford K.
Varner to pay the balance of said purchase price aforesaid.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
adjourned
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
