-� 3 WHEREAS, HAROLD P. PITTS and JEAN D. PITTS, husband and
4 wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum
5 of x$225.00 for Lot 13, Block 532, Corona del Mar, in the City of
6 Newport Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and
7 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; and
8 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $225.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15 above described.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
17 sold to the said Harold P. Pitts and Jean D. Pitts, husband and
18 wife, for the sum of $225.00, free and clear of all encumbrances,
19 subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1942 -43 and unpaid impro-
20 vement assessments of record. Also subject to conditions,
21 restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City
22 Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a
23 deed for said property to the said parties upon receipt of the
24 consideration above set forth.
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $56.25 be paid
26 to Gerald W. Ritchie, as and for his commission for the negotiating
27 of the sale of said real property to Harold P. Pitts and Jean D.
28 Pitts, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and
• 29 reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
30 sing a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolutio
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
held on the 15th day of June, 1942, by the following vote, to -wit:
