1 RESOLUTION NO.

3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City

Council of the city of NewportBeach, a certain agreement dated
5 July 6, 1942, between Wm, A. Maxwell and W. H. Hitchman, doing
6 business under the name and style of Newport-Balboa Press, therein
7 referred to as the first parties, and City of Newport Beach, a
8 municipal corporation, therein referred to as the second party;and
9 WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the first parties
10 were awarded the contract by the second party for the publication
11 and printing of all legal notices and other matters for the city
12 of Newport Beach, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1943, at
13 the price in said agreement set forth; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
15 deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
16 agreement be entered into with the first parties, their price
17 being the lowest bid for said printing and publications,
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Ig Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed
20 authorized and instructed to execute said agreement in the name of
21 the City of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk shall deliver a
22 duly executed copy thereof to the first parties therein named.
23 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
24 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
25 the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
26 July 6, 1942, by the following vote, to -wit: 1
