RESOLUTION NO.

3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
4 Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain lease wherein the
5 City of Newport Beach is called the party of the first part, "and
6 S. M. Padias is called the party of the second part; and
7 WHEREAS, said lease provides that the first party leases
8 to the second party for a period of three years, commencing as of
9 December 1, 1942, and ending as of November 30, 1945, that certain
10 ninety-three acre tract of land belonging to the City of Newport
11 Beach, and in said lease described, under the terms, consideration
12 and conditions therein set forth; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
14 deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
15 lease be entered into with the said S. M. Padias, under the terms,
16 conditions and for the consideration therein mentioned.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
18 Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed
19 authorized and instructed to execute said lease on behalf of the
20 City of Newport Beach.
21 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
22 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
23 the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
24 the 7th day of December, 1942, by the following vote, to -wit:
