AREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain lease dated the _
day of October, 1943, by and between the City of Newport Beach, as

Lessor, and Donald W. Douglas, as Lessee; and
1MREAS, said lease provides that Lessor leases to Lessee)
for a period of three years, a certain pier known as Pier 6,
together with garage and wash room in connection therewith, and
located southeasterly of Tract 919 of the city of Newport Beach,
for the total rent of #2718.00; and
%1EREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
lease be given to Lessee for the term above stated, upon the
conditions and for the consideration therein stated.
NOSE, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said lease in the
name of, and on behalf of the city of Newport Beach, and that the
City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy thereof to the Lessee
therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
4th day of October, 1943, by the following vote, to —wit:
