APPLICATION TO THE STATE DIRECTOR OF FINABCE
FOR FIb:AicCIAL ASSISTA14CE IN CIVILIAN DEFENSE
ACTIVITIES, UNDER PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 845,
STATUTES OF 1943.
RESOLVED: That F. 17. Crocker is hereby authorized and
designated, as a representative for and on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach to sign and present an application on its behalf
to the Director of Finance of the State of California for State Aid
for civilian defense purposes in the City of Newport Beach.
FIIHTHER RESOLVED: That said F. W. Crocker is hereby
authorized and designated to execute an agreement with the State
Director of Finance covering the terms and conditions under which
the amount of State Aid is to be granted to the City of Newport
Beach; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: That the amount of State Aid requests
in this project is Dollars, or any
portion thereof approved by the Director of Finance, and it is
hereby certified that matching funds are available out of moneys
appropriated by the City of Newport Beach in an amount equal to or
in excess of the allocation requested by the Director of Finance, a
the purpose for which State Aid is sought is essential for adequate
civilian defense; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: That matching funds are available
from a source or sources other than the State Treasury or fund of
any agency which is a part of the Executive Department of State
Government.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of he City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof hold on the day of
April, 1945, by the followinx vote- to -crit:
