A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE

CLOSING UP, VACATION, AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF NORDINA
STREET AND A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY, 20 FEET IN WIDTH

AND LYING EASTERLY OF HAZEL DRIVE IN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
PURSUANT TO AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE "STREET VACATION ACT

OF 1941 ",

The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant
6
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941 ", approved
7
May 13, 1941, Statutes 1941, Chapter 250 and amendments thereto,
8
being Division 9, Part 3, Streets and Highways Code, does hereby
9
Resolve and Declare as follows:

Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires the
11
closing up and abandonment of a portion of Nordina Street, and
12
a portion of a certain alley, all in the City of Newport Beach,
13
and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Newport
14
Beach to order the following- described por.tion of a certain street
15
in said city, and of a certain alley in said city, to be vacated,
16
closed up, and abandoned, to -wit:

STREET TO BE VACATED

All that portion of Nordina Street, as shown upon a
map of Seashore Colony Tract, recorded in Book 7,
19
Page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California, lying northeasterly of the northwesterly
20
prolongation of a line fifteen (15) feet southwesterly
of and parallel with the northeasterly line of Lot 12,
21
Block 11 of said Seashore Colony Tract, and all that
portion of Nordina Street as shown upon a map of E1 Moro
Tract, recorded in Book 8, Page 75 of Miscellaneous IJiaps,

Records of Orange County, California.

ALLEY TO BE VACATED

All of that certain alley 20 feet in width and lying
easterly of Hazel Drive and adjacent to Lots 55 to 62
25
inclusive and Lots 66 to 70 inclusive, located in Block
"A", as shown upon map of Tract 673, recorded in Miscel-
28
laneous Maps, Book 20, Pages 17 and 18, Records of Orange
•

County, California.

All portions of said street and alley to be vacated, closed up
29
and abandoned, are more clearly shown on certain maps approved
30
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach for
31
said vacation, closing up and abandonment, by Resolution dated
32
May 14, 1945, and designated, "Resolution No. 3173, and by

resolution dated May 14, 1945, and designated Resolution No.3174.

Reference is hereby made for further particulars as to the proposed
3
vacation, closing up and abandonment of said street and said alley,
4
to said maps, and said maps and each of them are made a part of
5
this Resolution to the same extent and purpose as if the same were
6
herein incorporated in full.

Section 2. That the proceedings for the closing up and abandonment
8
of the aforesaid portion of said street and of said alley, shall
9
be had and taken, and the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10
elects to proceed under the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act
11
of 1941" approved May 13, 1941, Statutes 1941, Chapter 250 and
12
amendments thereto, being Division 9, Part 3, Streets and Highways
13
Code.

Section 3. The Street Superintendent of the City of Newport Beach

shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of the street
16
and alley proposed to be vacated, not less than 500 feet apart
17
but not less than three in all, notices of the vacation of said
18
street and said alley. Said notices shall state the passage of
19
this Resolution of Intention and the time and place of the hearing
20
of all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation
21
of said street and said alley, all as required by law.

Section 4. Notice is Hereby Given that the City Council of the
23
City of Newport Beach does hereby fix Monday, the 2nd day of
24
July, 1945, at the hour of four o'clock P.M. of said day, in the
25
Council Chambers of the City of Newport Beach located in the
28
City Hall in the City of Newport Beach, as the time and place for
27
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
28
vacation of said street or said alley._ And the said City Council
•

at said time and place will hear the evidence offered by any person
30
interested in the vacation of said street heretofore described and
31
said alley heretofore described.

1 Section 5. This Resolution of Intention shall be published at
2 least once in the Newport Balboa News- Times, a newspaper of general
3 circulation printed, published and circulated in the City of
4 Newport Beach, and said publication shall be made before the date
5 set for the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to
6 the proposed vacation.

8 The above Resolution of Intention No.,,_q, was passed at
9 a regular adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of
10 Newport Beach, held on the 11th day of June, 1945, by the following
11 vote, to -wit:
