3 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has this day granted
• 4 to Griffith Company, a California Corporation, by deed dated the
5 4th day of February, 1946, a Corporation Grant Iced to the follow -
6 j.ng desoribed real property situate in the City of Newport Beach,
7 Orange County, California, and more particularly desoribed as fol-
8 lows, to -wit:
9 A parcel of land in Seotion 28, Township 6 South, Range
10 West, S.B.B.& M. desoribed as follows:

Beginning at a point in the West line of Tract No. 907
11 as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 28, pages 25
to 36 inclusive of Misoellaneous Maps, reoords of Orange
12 County California, which point bears North 00 441
304 West, 220.89 feet from the point of intersection
13 of said West line with the North line of the Hudson, 60
feet in width, as shown on a map of Lancaster's Addition
14 recorded in Book 5, page 14 of Misoellaneous Maps, reoords
of Orange County, California; running thence North 00
15 441 30" West along said West line. 179.11 feet; thence
South 890 151 30° West along a line parallel with the
16 said North line of the Hudson 242.00 feet; thence South
660 441 300 East 160.00 feet; thence
17 South 400 47' 07" East 148.96 feet to the point of
18 beginning.

20 WHEREAS, Griffith Company did, on the 4th day of Febru-
21 ary, 1946, grant to the City of Newport Beaoh certain real proper -
22 ty in the City of Newport Beach in exchange for the real property
23 heretofore desoribed; and
24 WHEREAS, it is the opinion and judgment of the City Coun-
25 oil of the City of Newport Beach that the Consideration for the
26 granting of this deed to Griffith Company is fair, just, and ads-
27 quate and that the property exchanged for this grant deed is of

equal value to that
granted by the Griffith Company to City
of

Newport Beaoh; and

WHEREAS it
is further the opinion and judgment of
the

City Counoil of the
City of Newport Beach that said exchange

be made, and that it
is for the best interests of said City
that

they acquire the property heretofore described;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby author
zed, directed and instructed to execute said Grant Deed to the
Griffith Company covering the property heretofore described, in t
name of and on behalf of the City of_Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
taa duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 4th day of February, 1946, by the following vote, to -wit:

Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 3284 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 4th day of February , 19 46 , by the following
vote, to wit:
