' ;"HERNAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated the
day of., 1946, -between the City of Newport Beach,
therein referred to as the "City ", and Sully riiller Contracting
Company, a California Corporation, therein referred to as the "Con-
tractor"; and
VHt,R, AS, said agreement provides that the City has arrard-
ed to the Contractor the contract for the furnishing of all re-
quired labor, material, transportation, plant, tools and services
for the rough grading, sub - grade, and surfacing of the Beach Auto
Parking Lot in the Cit;f of Newport Beach, for the prices set forth
in the Contractor's Proposal on file in the office of the City Clerk
and,
WHEREAS, said agreement specifically sets forth the terms,
conditions and prices for the doing of said work; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said con-
tract be executed, and that the cork therein specified be done by
the Contractor upon the terms and conditions therein specified;

Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed
authorized and instructed to execute said agreement on behalf of the
City of Newport Beach, and that a duly executed copy thereof be de-
livered by the City Clerk to the Contractor.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of IT
port Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the day of
12 ", 1946, by the following vote to -17it:
