RESOLUTION NO.��
'WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated the
d,1 day of�, 1946, between the City of Newport Beach,
therein referred to as 110ity1f, and Sully Miller Contracting Company
a California Corporation, therein referred to as "Contractor"; and
tMREAS, said agreement provides that the City has award
to the Contractor the contract for the furnishing of all regi:ired
labor, material, plant, tools, and services for the grading and
paving with asphaltic concrete pavement, cement concrete alley ap -.
proaches, vitrified clay pipe house sewer connections, cast iron
pipe water mains, water connections, fire hydrants, valves, fitting
and appurtenances and other work auxiliary to any of the above work
in Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Balboa Island and Tract 742 all
within the City of Newport Beach as contemplated in Resolution No.
3242, of the City of Newport Beach, for the prices set forth in
the Contractor's Proposal on file in the office of the City Clerk;
I and
G'HEREAS, said agreement specifically sets forth the terms
conditions and prices for the doing of said work; and
i,MEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said con-
tract be executed, and that the work therein specified be done by
the Contractor upon the terms and conditions therein specified;
NOT;, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed
authorized and instructed to execute said agreement on behalf of
the City of Newport Beach, and that a duly executed copy thereof be
delivered by the City Clerk to the Contractor.
