3 ;!H? TEAS, under Chapter 1470, Str.tutes of 1945, there
4 has been appropriated a sum of money out of -die State Ber_ch
5 Fund to the Division of Beaches and Perks, Department of Natural
6 Resources, for the acquisition of state park purposes of land
7 in Orange County, California, known as the "Corona del 1'iar
8 proposed State Perk Site ", consisting of 3,600 feet, more or
9 less, of beach and bay frontaf;e, or so much thereof as ct,n be
10 purchased at L reasonable price, to be determined by appraisal
11 and negotiations or by condemnation proceedinge, slid land
12 situate, lyin and being within the City limits of the City of
13 Newport Beach and between the ordinary high rater mtrk of the
14 Pacific Ocean and certain designated streets; and
15 rHF.REAS, it is further provided in said stt.tutes of
16 1945, Chapter 1470, aforesaid, that the appropriation is �;rtnted
17 upon the condition tht.t all purchases m,-.de by the SL..e be
18 matched by donation by the City of Newport Beach of properties
19 of equal value, said properties to be added to the properties
20 acquired by the State for the creation of the Corona del tsar
21 Park; and'
22 WHFREAS, by Sections 5150 and 5151 of the Public
23 Resources Code, the City of Newport Beach may assist the StC.te
24 of California in acquiring ng an y park, playground, recreational

center or beach to be used for recreational purposes, t.nd by the
same sections of the sFA d Public Resources Code, it is provided
th&t such assistvnee may take the form of a donation, conveyance,
or grant to the State of any real property owned by the City of
Newport Beach; and
'.'HEREAS, the State of California hr.s aLreed, through
its Division of Beaches and Parks, to purchase certain lands in
the City of Newport B,:a.ch on the condition tht.t all purchases

by the State be matched by a donation by the City of Newport

Beach of properties of equal value;

of the premises and other valuable considerations, all of which

the City Council of the City of ITewport Beach deems just, fair an(

adequate, and in accordance with the laws of the State of Cali-
7
fornia, the City of Newport Beach does hereby make a donation
8
and ;;ornnt to the StsLe of California, for park purposes, and on
9
a matchin;; basin, of'all that certain reel property situate in
10
the County of Orange, SLatle of California, and more particularly
11
described as follows, towit:

of Corona Del rear recorded in Book 3, at pages 41 and

Beginning at the point of intersection of the North -
