DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION
WHEREAS, a general municipal election was held and conducted
in the City of Newport Beach, Orange County, California, on Tuesday
the 13th day of April, 1948, as required by lacy; and
47HEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was duly and
regularly given; that voting precincts were properly established.;
that election officers were appointed and alection supplies furn-
fished and that in all respects said election was held and conducted
and the votes cast thereat received and canvassed and the returns
thereof made and declared in time, form and manner as required bit
the laws of the State of California, governing elections in cities
of the sixth class; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Nevnort Beach met
at the Council Chambers of the City Council on Tuesday, the 20th
day of April, 1948, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. :,.. of said day,
to canvass the returns of said election and install the newly elec-
ted officers as a result of which the City Council of said. City find
and determines that the number of votes case, the proposition voted
upon, and other matters required by lair to be as hereinafter stated;
NOWY THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said general municipal
election was held and conducted in the City of Newport Beach on
(Tuesday, the 13th day of April, 1948, in time, form and manner as
required b„ lar.; that there were thirteen (13) voting precincts
established for the purpose of holding said election, consisting

Shall Ordinance No. 574 of the City of NeTnort Beach,
providing for the levy and collection, for the purpose
of providing and maintaining parks in the City of
Nenmort Beach, for each fiscal year, of a tax of fif-
teen cents (15¢) on each $100.00 of the assessed valua-
tion_ of all property in the City of Nerport Beach which
is taxable therein for municipal purposes, and repealing
Ordinance No. 380 of the City of Newport Beach, be
adopted?
