RESOLUTION NO. 3624
WHEREAS, it appearing by the Statement of the City Auditor
of the City of Newport Beach, that the City of Newport Beach is the
owner in fee of following described real property situated in the
City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and
more particularly described as follows:
Block 144 of "Canal Section, Newport Beach ", as shown on a
Map recorded in Book 4, page 98 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California, excepting that portion
thereof lying Southwesterly and Westerly of a line described
as follows: Beginning at a point in the Southeasterly line
of said Block distant thereon 25 feet Northeasterly from
the most Southerly corner thereof; thence Northwesterly
along a line parallel to and 25 feet distant, measured at
right angles, from the Southwesterly line of said block to
the beginning of a curve tangent concave to the East having
a radius of 5 feet, said curve also being tangent to the
Northeasterly line of said block; thence along the arc of
said curve to said point of tangency to said Northeasterly
line.
WHEREAS, it appears by satisfactory proof that said propert;
has been erroneously taxed by said City,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the officials having
custody of the records thereof, to -wit; the City Auditor and Tax
Collector of the City of Newport Beach be and they are hereby
authorized, directed and instructed to cancel all of said taxes,
penalties and costs on said real property, on the assessment rolls
of the City of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
port Beach at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 2
of September, 1948, by the following vote, to -wit:
