RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK NO. 3711
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NMJPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA
ORDERING THE WORK DESCRIBED IN
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 3706
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California,
pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", being
Division VII of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Calif-
ornia, does resolve as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require the work
hereinafter mentioned to be done and therefore the said City Council
hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements to be
made in said City, to -erit:
The grading, paving with 2 -inch plant mix material laid
upon a 5 -inch untreated rock base, installation of house sewer
connections and water connections, cement concrete curb, together
with appurtenant work in connection with any and all items of
improvement hereinabove mentioned, in a portion of "M" Street and
certain alleys in East Side Addition to Balboa Tract and Tracts
Nos. 518, 948, and 1090, all as more particularly described in
Resolution of Intention No. 3706, passed and adopted by the City
Council of said City on the 11th day of July, 1949, and on file in
the office of the City Clerk of said City.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention No. 3706 and to the plans, profiles and
drawings on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City of
Newport Beach, and to the specifications for the said T,rork heretofo
adopted by the said City Council and on file in the office of the C
Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications heretofore approved by the City Council of said City
are incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is
hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work.

Said City Council has determined and declared that the
contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in the
opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary public
benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of said
work chargeable upon a district. For the particular description of
the said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of
Intention No. 3706.
Said City Council has determined and declared that serial
bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6 %) per annum
and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the second
day of January next succeeding the next October 15th follo - ring their
date, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improv -
ment Act of 1911 ", being Part 5, Division VII of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, to represent each assess-
ment of Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) or more remaining unpaid for
thirty (30) days after the date of the warrant.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried
through in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of
California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", being Divis
VII of the Streets and Highways Code.
The Clerk of said City is hereby directed to post conspicu-
lously for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the City
Council, in the manner and form required by said Code, a Notice
Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work herein ordered,
and the City Cleric is hereby directed to publish twice in the
"Newport - Balboa Press ", a weekly newspaper, published and circul
in said City and hereby designated by the said City Council for
that purpose, a Notice Inviting such proposals or bids for doing
the said work and referring to the specifications on file.
