RESOLUTION NO. 3833
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach and the State of
California have entered into a Lease covering said State owned
property, under date of August 19, 1949; and
WHEREAS, said Lease contains a provision in Clause 7
thereof that the same may be terminated upon one year's notice
by either party; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the parties to said Lease
that said Clause 7 be eliminated and that the cancellation pro-
vision contained in Clause 1, Paragraph 2, to the effect that the
agreement may be altered, changed or amended by mutual consent,
should govern;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lease Agree-
ment of August 19, 1949 be amended so as to strike therefrom
all of Clause 7 thereof, and the Mayor and the City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute such
an amendment to such agreement.
The above and foregoing Resolution was duly and regu-
larly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of New-
port Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 30th day
of October, 1950.
