RESOLUTION OF THE CITY GOWCIL OF THE CITY'OF
NEWPORT BEACH AVARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE IMP-
ROVEMENT OF BALBOA BOULEVARD FROM 31ST STREET
To 47TH STREET, AND AUTF.ORIZING h'rcUTION OF
AN'AGREisMENT TPFREFOR
WHTREAS, pursuant to a Notice Inviting Bids for the imp•
rovement of Balboa Boulevard, from 31st Street to 47th Street, in
the City of Newport Beach, heretofore duly given, sealed proposals
and bids therefor were duly received and, at the time and place as
for said purpose, duly opened, and it appearing that the lowest
regular and responsible bidder is the Sully- Miller Contracting
Company, a corporation; and
WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a certain Agreement dated
195 ! by and between said Sull$- Miller Contras
ing Company and the City of Newport Beach, providing for the imp-
rovement of Balboa Boulevard from 31st Street to 47th Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said Bid of said
Sully - Miller Contracting Company for said improvement of Balboa
Boulevard from 31st Street to 47th Street, in the City of Newport
Beach for the total sum of $479828.689 be, and the same is hereby,
accepted; and
BE IT FURTHLR RI- SOI.VFD, that said Agreement for said
construction in accordance with the plans and specifications on
file with the City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach, at said
price of $47,828.68 be, and the same is hereby, awarded to said
Sully - Miller Contracting Company; and
BE IT FURTI"E2 i?ESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and instructed to execute said
Agreement in the name of and for and on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk furnish a duly executed
copy thereof to said Sully- Riiller Contracting Company.

The above and foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
passed and adoptod by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of Decem-
ber, 1952, by the following vote, to vitt
AXES, CCUCILMM: Smith, Fine Isbel s Bennett. Miller
