HomeMy WebLinkAbout4167 - Tract 772 Alley Vacation & Abandonment'3� I RESOLUTION OF INTJWION NO. 4167 A REEZOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THB14 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 1 OF NEWTORT BEACH 1.1aCLARING ITS 1VTit;NTI0N TO ORDER THE 2 CLOSING UP VACATION AND ABANDONMIgiT OF A CERTAIN ALLEY BETWEEN HIIHLANU AND GRANT STRESTS IN THE CITY OF NEWPORT 3 BEACH, COUNTY OF OBANG39 STATE OF CALIFORNIA 4 The City Council of the City of Newport beach, pursuant 5 to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 194111, and all 6 amendments thereto, being Sections 8300 through 8331 of the Streets 7 and Highways Code, does hereby ordain,. resolve and declare as 8 followa: 9 SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience re- 10 quire the closing up and abandonment of all those portions of 11 those certain alleys, more particularly described.hereinafter, in 12 the City of Newport Neach, and it is the intention of the City 13 Council of the City of Newport Beach to order the following de- 14 scribed portions of those certain allays in said City of Newport 15 Beach, County of Orange, State of California, to be vacated, Closed 16 up and abandoned, to wit: 17 All those portions of those certain alleys ten (10) feat In width in Block 10, as shown upon a Map of Seashore Colony Tract 18 recorded in Miscellaneous Hap Book 7, Page 25 and Block 10 of Tract No. 772 as recorded in Miscellaneous I4ap Book 239 Pages 5 19 and 6, records of Orange County, California, and more particularly described as follows: 20 Beginning at the most northerly corner 21 of Lot 3, Block 109 of said Tract No. 772; thence southwesterly along the northwesterly 22 lines of Lots 3, 2, and 1t of said Block 109 and along the northwesterly lines of Lots 89 23 79 69 51 4, and Lot 39 of Block 10, of said seashore Colony Tract, to a point 15 feet south - 24 westerly of the most northerly corner of said Lot 3; thence northwesterly on a line parallel 25 with and distant 15 feet southwesterly from the northeasterly line of said Lot 3 to a point in 26 the southeasterly line of Lot 14 of Block 10 of said Seashore Colony Tract; thence northeasterly 27 along the southeasterly lines of Lots 14, 13, 12} 11, 10, and 9, of Block 10 of said Seashore 28 Colony Tract, and along the southeasterly line of Lots 5 and 4 of Block 10 of said Tract No. 772, 29 to the most easterly corner of said Lot 4, thence southeasterly in a straight line to the point of 30 beginning. 31 Said portions of said alleys to be vacated, closed up and 32 abandoned are more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach for said -1- 1 • 2. 3 4 5 s 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 is 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 28 27 28 29 30 31 32 ,_. vacation, closing up and abandonment, by Resolution dated 2953, and designated "Resolution . SLCTION 2t That the proceedixa;s for the closing up.artd abandonment of the aforesaid portions of said alleys shall be had and taken, and the City +ouncil of the City of Newport beach here elects to proceed under the provisions of the said "utreet Act of 1941"1, and all amendments tiaoreto, being, Sections 830C 8331 of the Streets and highways t:ode of the State of California. oLCTION 3.
