ORDERINO VACATION
':HE t1AS, the City of Nevrort Beach did, an the 2*tA day of
March, 1954, pass its certain Resolution of Intention No. 4221,
declaring its intention to order the closing up, vacation and
abandonment of a portion_ of a street known as Ocean Front, in the
City of Newport Beach, hereinafter more particularly described,
pursuant to and in accordance with the "Street Vacation Act of 191
and all amendments thereto, being Sections 8300 through 8331 of t
California Streets and Righways Code; and
W FAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Newport
Beach has caused to be hosted conspicuously along the portion of
said street proposed to be vacated, not .More than 300 feet apart,
and not less then three in all, notices of the vacation of said p,
tion of said street, all of which will more fully appear from the
affidavit of L. W. Covert, the said Street Superintendent of the
City of Newport Beach, on file in these proceedings; and
WMREAS, said notices so posted by the Street
of the City of New-:ort Beach stated the preparation of Resolution
of Intention No, 4221 aforesaid, and the date and place of the
hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation of said portion of said street; and
WIMRrAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach by
said Resolution of Intention No. 1+221, aforesaid, did fix Monday,
the 26th day of April, 1954, at the hour of 7130 P.M. of said day
as the time, and the Council Chambers of the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, located in the City Nall of the City of New-
port Beach, as the place for the hearing of all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said
street; and

has been published at least once in the New ort- Balboa Press, a

newspaper of general circula%ton, ptgntedt published and circulat4
in the City of Nei--port Beach, anu said publication was made ,:ore
than 15 days prior to the date set for the hearing of all persons
Interested in or objecting to the pro ..osed vacation, all of which
will more fully appear by the af"idsvit of Ben Reddiek, owner and
publisher of said Nevport- Balboa Press, on file in these proceed-
ings; and
UTEMEAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
has heard the evidence, both written and verbal, of all persons
Interested in the vacation of sa -'.d Portion of said street in this
Resolution more particularly hereinafter described, and finds
from all the evidence submitted th•.t said portion of said street
described in said Resolution of Intention, and hereinafter deseril
ed, is unnecessary for present or prospective public street or
alley purposes
NOM, THTRUORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach finds and determines and hereby orders that the following
described portion of that certain street in the City of Newport
Beach, described as follows
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 1
Block C of Seashore Colony Tract as said Tract is shown
upcn a map recorded in Miscellaneous Yap Book 71 Page
25, Records of Orange Co±u.ty, California; thence north-
westerly along the so-._thwesterly line of said Lot 1 to
the most westerly corner of said Lot 1, thence south-
westerly along the souti_c•resterlyy prolongation of the
northwesterly line of said Lot is to an intersection
with a line lying southwesterly of, parallel to, and
distant 15 feet fro the southwesterly line of said Lot
11 thence southeasterly along said parallel line to an
intersection with the southwesterly prolongation of the
southeasterly line of said Lot 1, thence northeasterly
along said southeasterly prolongation to the point of
beginning,
is unnecessary for present or prospective public street or alley
purposes, and now makes its order vacating said portion of said
street above described.

City of Newport Beach shall causo a certified copy of this Order,
duly attested by him as the City Clerk, under the seal of the
City, to be recorded in the office o- the County i:ecorder of
Orange County, State of California, ;,,,i ediately following the
passage of this Resolution,
The above and foregoing Resolution No, .2z vas duly
