(IiDIMIANG VAC _TION
LvKa'Ekbq the City of Newport Beach did, on the 13th day
of September, 1954, pass its certain Resolution of intention
No. 4269, declaring its intention to order the closing up, vaca-
tion and abandonment of a portion of .a street designated as Old
County road, in the city of Newport Beach, hereinafter more par-
ticularly described, pursuant to and in accordance with the
"Street Vacation '.et of 19441" and all amendments thereto, being
Sections 63CO through 8331 of the California 4treets and Highways
Code; and
kHEM&;s, the :street superintendent of the city of Newport
Beech has caused to be posted conspicuously along the portion of
said street proposed to be vaccted, not more than 3CG feet &part,
and not less than 3 in all$ notices'of the vacation of said por-
tion of said street, all of which wili more fully appear from the
affidavit of L. W. Covert, the said Street Superintendent of the
City of Newport Beach, on file in these proceedingsg and
.MJ;R&6, said notices so posted by the Street 6uperin-
tendent of the City of Newport Beach stated the preparation of
said Resolution, of intention I3o. 4269 aforesaid, and the date and
place of the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting
to the proposed vacation of said portion of sarld street; and
wULR1A41 the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
by said Resolution of intention No. 4269, aforesaid, slid fix
Monday, the 11th day of October, 1954,.at the hour of 'JY3C p.m.
of said day as the time, and the Council Chambers of the City
Council of the City of irewport Beach, located in the City Bull of
the City of Newport beach, as the place, for the hearing of all
persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of
said portion of said street; and
said Resolution of Intention No. 4269, aforesaid,
Ihas been published at least once in the Newport harbor Ensign,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circu-

lated in the City of 4wport beach, and said publication was
made more than 15 days prior to the date set for the hearirg of
all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation,
all of which will more fully appear by the affidavit of Arvo E.
Haepa, printer and publisher of s: id Reuport �L^rbor Ensign, on
file in these proceedings; and

Beach finds anti determines and hereby orders thr.t the following
describers portion of that certain street in the City of Newport
Beach, described as follows-.
A portion of Old County Road, fifty (5C) feet in width,
as shown upon a map of Tract 1:o.'27 recorded in Miscellanezus
Haps Book 9, Page 26, becords of Orange County, California, and
more particularly described as follows.
Beginning it the most southerly corner of
Lot 4 Block 1, as snovn uron a :_ap of suid 'tract
No. 2 ; thence north,.osterly along; the soutlr, .,Aerly
line of said Lot 4 and its norths,esterly prolongation
and along the southwesterly line of lot 1 of said
Block 1 to the most sesterly corner of suid Lot l;
thence s3uthw,esterly along the southwesterly pro-
longation of the northwesterly line of said Lot 1
to an intersection with the northeasterly prolonga-
tion of the northwesterly line of Foot 1 as shown
upon a map of Tract Io. 464, recorded in Miscellaneous
)laps Hook 32, Page l; thence southwesterly along said
northeasterly prolongation to the moat northerly
corner of said Lot 1; thence southeasterly along the
northeasterly line of said Lot 1 of Tract Lo. 464 to
an intersection with the southwesterly prolongation
of the southeasterly line of the aforementioned Lot
4, Block 1 of Tract Iio. 27; thence northeasterly along
the last mentioned southwesterly prolongation to the
point of beginning,

Is unnecessary for present or prospective public street or alley
purposes$ and now makes its order vacating said portion of said
street above described.
The City Council further orders that the City Clerk of
the City of Newport Lcach shall cause a certified copy of this
Order, duly attested by him as the City Clerk$ under the seal of
the City, to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of
Orange County, -tate of California, immediately following the
passage of this resolution.
The above and foregoing 1 :0solution Vo. '%2d2 was duly
passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, held on the df�r( day of ew
