RESOLUTION NO, Ya FI
WHEREAS, it is proposed to open, widen and improve
Breakers Drive between Ocean Boulevard and iris Avenue in the
Corona del Mar State Beach, Corona del gar area of the City Of
Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, Breakers Drive will be the principal route of
access between Ocean Boulevard and the Corona del tlalr State Beach;
and
WHEREAS, Ocean Boulevard between Carnation and Poppy
avenues is included in the Major City Street System of the City
of Newport Beach, while Breakers Drive (proposed) between said
Ocean Boulevard and Corona del Mar State Beach is not now so
included; and
WHEREAS, Major City Street Gas Tax Funds may be expencic=z
only upon those streets included in the Major City Street Syste:«,
NOW, THEREPOREO BE IT RESOLVED, that the State Department
of Public Works be requested, in accordance with Chapter 2 of
Division 3 of the Streets and Highways Code, to include said
Drive (proposed) between Ocean Boulevard and Iris Avenue
lin Corona del Mar State Beach, a distance of approximately 475
feet, in the Major Street System of the City of Newport Beach.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
