RESOLUTION NO. 441;
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING ANNEXATION OF TERRTTORY
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, Orange County,
California, resolves as follows:
WHEREAS, it appears that it 9.s desirable that certain
territory belonging to the City of Newport Beach, towit,
the offshore tide lands belonging to said city and extending
three (3) miles seaward from the ordinary high tide line of
the Pacific Ocean, be annexed to County Sanitation District
No. 5 of Orange County, California, which territory is
contiguous to said County Sanitation District No. 5 of Orange
County, and is not included in any other Sanitation
District or other District formed for similar purposes, and
that such annexation would be of benefit to the territory so
annexed; and
WHEREAS, this Council, having fully considered the matter
of such proposed annexation and being fully advised of the issue
thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, FOUND AND DECLARED
that the territory so proposed to be annexed will be
benefitted by the annexation thereof to County Sanitation
District No. 5 of Orange County, and the Board of Directors
of County Sanitation District No. 5 and the County Board of
Supervisors of Orange County are hereby requested to initiate
and prosecute said annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the consent of this Body to
the annexation of said territory hereinabove described to
11� County Sanitation District No. 5 of Orange County is hereby
given.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this
Resolution be filed with the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Orange and County Sanitation District No. 5 of
Orange County.
The foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of Newport Beach,
Orange County, California, on the 12th day of December,
