WHEREAS, the acting City Manager has filed his resig-
nation with the City Council of Newport Beach; and the said City
Council has accepted his resignation; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter provides that the City
Council may appoint a City Manager pro"ore;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the City Engineer, Bert Webb,
is hereby appointed City Manager pro tempore to act as City
Manager until the appointment by the City Council of a City
Manager;

DE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that
the
City Hanager
pro
tempore shall
receive a salary of $949.00
per
month during
the
time he serves as City Manager pro tempore.

and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, at a regular meeting thereof, held on
the 27th day of February, 1956, by the following roll call vote,
to exit:
