The City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act Of 1941 ", and all
anmulments thereto, being Section 8300 to 8331, inclusive, of the
Streets and Higbwrays Code of the State of California, does hereby
resolve and declare as follaxst
SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience
require the closing up and abandonment of a portion of a certain
street known as Clubhouse Avenue (formerly Railroad Avenue) in
AWat°rW%Wji6mt Beach, and it is the intention of the City
Council or the City of Newport Beach to order the following
described portion of said street in the City of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California, to be vacated, closed up
and abandoned,, to wit:
PARCEL N0, 1: That portion of Railroad. Avenue as
s ownon Me map of Canal Section, Newport Beach in
the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California, as per map recorded in book 4, page 98 of
Miscellaneous Neaps, in the office of the eouAty
recorder of said county lying between the northeaster
prolongation of the southeasterly line of lot 1 of
Block 332 of said Tract and the southeasterly pro-
longation of the southwesterly line of Lot 1, of
Block 432 of said Tract.
EXCEPT all that portion of Railroad Avenue (now known
as Clubhouse Avenue) lying westerly and northerly of
the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of th
portion of said HIlroad Avenue adjoining said Block 3'.
as shown on may No. 108 filed in Book 2, pages 1 to 2.
inclusive of Official gaps in the office of the said
County Recorder.
PARCEL NO. 2: That portion of Clubhouse Avenue (fo
known as NAD oad Avenue ) as shown upon a asap of a
Section, recorded in Kiseellaneous Map Hook 4, page
Records of Orange County, California, and more part
larly described as follows, to wit-
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 1, block 432
of said Canal Section; thence southerly along the me

line of said Lot 1:0 block 432 a distance of 66 feet;
thence westerly along a line lying parallel to and
distant 66 feet southerly of the northerly line of said
Lot 1, Block 432, to an intersection with the south-
westerly line of said Lot 1, Block 432, said point beinf
the true point of beginning; thence southwesterly at
right angles to said southwesterly line of said Lot 1,
Block 432 to an intersection with a line lying parallel
to, and distant 10 feet northeasterly of the south-
westerly line of said Clubhouse Avenue; thence south-
easterly along said parallel line to an intersection wi
the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of that
portion of said Clubhouse Average adjoining Block 332 of
said Canal Sections thence northerly along said northerl
prolongation of the westerly line of said Clubhouse
Avenue to an intersection with the southwesterly line
of said Lot 1, Block 432; thence northwesterly along
said southwesterly line of said Lot 1, Block 432, to
the true point of beginning,
All that portion of said street to be vacated, closed up and
abandoned, is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach for said
vacation, closing up and abandonment, by resolution dated
J3 _ 1957 t and designated "Resolution No.
4� 0j ", which said map is on file in the office of the
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach. Reference is hereby
made to said map for further particulars as to the proposed
vacation, closing up and abandonment of said portion of said
street, and said map is made a part of this Resolution to the
same extent and purpose as If the same were herein incorporated
In full,
SECTION 2: That the proceedings for the closing up
and abandonment of the aforesaid portion of said street shall be
had and taken, and the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941 ", and all amendments thereto, being
Sections 8300 to 8331, inclusive, of the streets and Highways
Code of the State of California,
SECTION 3: The Street Superintendent of the City of
Newport Beach shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the
line of the portion of said street proposed to be vacated, not

more than 300 feet apart, but not less than three in all, notices
of the vacation of said portion of said street. Said notices
shall state the passage of this Resolution of Intention and the
time and place of the hearing of all persons interested in or
objecting to the propased vacation of said portion of said street
Said notices shall be so posted at least ten days before the date
of said hearing, all as required by law.
SECTIoN 4: Notice is hereby given that the City
of the City of Newport Beach does hereby fix Monday, the /0 �
day of a 1957s at the hour of 7:30
o'clock p.m % of said day, in the Council Chambers of the City
of Newport Beach, located in the City Hall of the City of Newpor"
Beach, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said
street. And the City Council at said time and place will heat
the evidence offered by any person interested in the vacation
of said portion of said street heretofore described.
SECTION 5: This Resolution of Intention shell be
published at least once in the Newport Harbor 'Ensign, a n&uspape
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the
City of Newport Beach, and said publication shall be made before
the date set for the hearing of all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation.
The above and foregoing Resolution of Intention NO
was duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach, held on the 13th day of
PAay, 1957, by the following vote, to wit:
