RESOLUTION NO. 4946
-A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
. AND SUBMISSION TO THE ORANGE COUNTY BOUNDARY
COMMISSION OF A PROPOSAL FOR DETERMINING THE
DEFINITENESS AND CERTAINTY OF THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE FIRST ADDITION TO JAMBOREE ROAD ANNEX
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
has heretofore considered the annexation of real property herein
referred to as the "First Addition to Jamboree Road Annex ", which
is hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said real property is in unincorporated terri-
tory and situated in the County of Orange, State of California;
and
WHEREAS, the said real property is uninhabited and`
contiguous to the City of Newport Beach within the meaning of
the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of the
owner of said real property and for the citizens of the City of
Newport Beach that said real property be annexed to the City of
Newport Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach file a proposal and map with the
Secretary of the County Boundary Commission of Orange County,
State of California, in accordance with the Annexation of Unin-
habited Territory Act of 1939; that the proposal request said
Boundary Commission to determine the definiteness and certainty
of the boundaries and other matters affecting the proposed
boundaries of the real property referred to as the "First Addi-
tion to Jamboree Road Annex'and which is described in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as though set out
in full herein; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of
the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby, authorized to
execute said proposal on behalf of the City of Newport Beach and
that the City Clerk verify and file same in accordance herewith,
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 23rd day of

FIRST ADDITION TO JAMBOREE ROAD ANNEX
Beginning at an angle point in the boundary line of
' the City of Newport Beach; said point being in the southeasterly
• line of Block 51 as shown upon a map of Irvine's Subdivision,
recorded in Miscellaneous Record Map Book 1, Page 88, Records
of Orange County, California, distant thereon 377.65 feet south-
westerly from the most easterly corner of the south one - quarter
of said Block 51; thence along said City Boundary Line South 500
09' 25" East on a line parallel to the southeasterly prolongation
of the northeasterly line of said south one - quarter of Block 51,
a distance of 670.41 feet to a point in the centerline of Jamboree
Road, 100 feet in width, as described in deed, recorded in Book
4110, Page 10, Official Records of said Orange County; thence
along said City Boundary Line South 825' 34' 42 ",East a distance
of 50.00 feet to a point in the easterly line of said Jamboree
Road; thence southerly along said City Boundary Line and said
easterly line of Jamboree Road to an angle point in said City
Boundary Line, said point being northeasterly of, parallel to,
and distant 1320.00 feet, measured at right angles, from the
southwesterly line of Block 56, of said Irvine's Subdivision;
thence southwesterly along the easterly line of said Jamboree
Road to an intersection with the southwesterly line of said
Block 56; thence northwesterly along the southwesterly line of
said Block 56 to an intersection with the northwesterly line
of said Block 56, said point also being in the boundary line of
the City of Newport Beach; thence northeasterly along said City
Boundary Line and along the northwesterly line of said Block 56,
• and along the southeasterly line of said Block 51 to the point
• of beginning.
