A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO.

4965 AND TERMINATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS
INITIATED BY SAID RESOLUTION

�[HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beas'z by
6
Resolution No. 4965 initiated annexation proceedings to annex
7
certain territory described in said resolution and designated
8
therein as Second Addition to Jamboree Road Annex; and
9
WHEREAS, said resolution gave notice that on the 25th day
10
of May, 1959, at 7:30 P. M., a hearing would be held at which time
11
the City would pass upon protests; and
12
WHEREAS, it now appears that one of the owners of the
13
property within said territory desires that said property not be
14
annexed to the City of Newport Beach at this time; and
15
WHEREAS, it may be to the interest of the owners of some
16
or all of said property within said territory to have said terri-
17I
tory or portions thereof annexed within the next twelve months;
18
and
19
WHEREAS, terminating the proceedings at this stage would
20
permit a new proceeding to be started within a period of one year;
21
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
22
the City of Newport Beach that Resolution No. 4965 be rescinded.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the annexation proceedings
24
initiated by said resolution be terminated.

This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
26
City of Newport Beach at a special meeting on the 24th day of May,
27
19590 by the following vote, to wit:
