OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRAO -T FOR THE
• 3 CONSTRUCTION OF STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS
IN IRVINE AVENUE FROM.DOVER.DRIVE TO 320'
4 SOUTHERLY OF WESTCLIFF DRIVE, IN MARINERS
DRIVE FROM DOVER.DRIVE TO.IRVINE AVENUE, IN
5 DOVER DRIVE FROM IRVINE AVENUE TO MARINERS
DRIVE

7 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
8 consisting of the construction of street lighting improvements.in
9 Irvine Avenue from Dover Drive to 3201 southerly of Westcliff
10 Drive, in Mariners Drive from Dover Drive to Irvine Avenue, in
11 Dover Drive from Irvine Avenue to Mariners Drive, in accordance
12 with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were
13 received on the 21st day of May, 1959, and publicly opened and
14 declared; and
15 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
16 for such construction work is E. D. Johnson and Company;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of E. D.
18 Johnson and Company in the amount of ,$9,018.00 be accepted and
19 that the contract for the construction work be awarded to said
20 E. D. Johnson and Company.
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
22 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
23 with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
24 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
25 an executed copy to the successful bidder.
26 This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
27 City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 25th day of May,
• 28 1959, by the following vote, to wit:

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
