RESOLUTION NO. 5042
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN
BALBOA BOULEVARD FROM 25TH STREET TO 26TH
STREET, IN 26TH STREET FROM BALBOA BOULEVARD
TO NEWPORT BAY
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
consisting of the construction of drainage improvements in Balboa
Boulevard from 25th Street to 26th Street, in 26th Street from
Balboa Boulevard to Newport Bay, in accordance with the plans and
specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 18th
day of June, 1959, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
for such construction work is Thomas D. Minear;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Thomas D.
Minear in the amount of $6,549.60 be accepted and that the
for the construction work be awarded to said Thomas D. Minear.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
an executed copy to the successful bidder.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 22nd day of
June, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley, Atkinson,
Higbie, Stoddard, Hart, Lorenz, Somers
NOES, COUNCILMEN: bone
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Hone

of the City of Newport Beach filed and aualntained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No, 5042 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 22d day of June 9 19 599 by the following
vote, to wit:
