2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR TIME
3 CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONS TO POLICE.BUILDING
AT 425 - 32ND STREET,.CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH

5 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
6 consisting of the construction of additions to police building at
7 425 - 32nd. Street, Newport Beach, California, in accordance with
8 the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received
9 on the 23rd day of October, 1959, and publicly opened and declared;
10 and
11 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
12 for such construction work is Don hickey Construction Company;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Don Hickey
14 Construction Company in the amount of $76,443.00 be accepted and the
15 the contract for the construction work be awarded to said Don
16 Hickey Construction Company.
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
18 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
19 with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
20 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish an
21 executed copy to the successful bidder.
22 This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
23 City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 26th day of
24 October, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
25 AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbi
26 Stoddard, Hart, Lorenz, Somers
27 NOEy, COUNCILMEN: None
28 ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
