A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF

A _GRANT DEED

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
6
publicly invited bids for the purchase of surplus City property
7
consisting of:
8
The southwesterly 119.00 feet of the following
described property:
9
Lot 11, Block 50, River Section, in the City of New -
10
port Beach, County of Orange, State of California as per
map, recorded-in Miscellaneous Maps, Book 4, page 25,
11
records of Orange County, California, and a portion of
Section 29, Township 6 South,-Range 10 West, of the San
12
Bernardino Meridian, according to an official plat of
said land filed in the District Land Office, August 4,
13
1890, and more particularly described as follows, to wit:

Beginning at the westerly corner of said Lot 119
thence northeasterly along the northwesterly line
15
of said Lot 11 and along the northeasterly pro -
longation of the northwesterly line of said Lot 11
16
to an intersection with the line of Ordinary High
Tide of the Pacific Ocean in Newport Bay designated
17
as "SOUTH LINE ", in final decree entered August 22,
1928, in Superior Court action 23686, a certified
18
copy thereof being recorded September 19, 1928, in
Book 201, page 253, official records of said Orange
19
CountY9 thence southeasterly along said "SOUTH
LINE °II to an intersection with the northeasterly
20
prolongation of the southeasterly line of the
aforesaid Lot 119 thence southwesterly along said
21
northeasterly prolongation and along -the south-
easterly line,of said Lot 11 to the southerly
22
corner of said Lot 119_ thence northwesterly along
the southwesterly line of said Lot 11 to the point
23
of beginning.

Excepting therefrom the southwesterly 15.00 feet of said
Lot 119

WHEREAS, bids were received by the City Council on

October 13, 1959, at which time Frank C. Cortese was the high bidd
•

for the purchase of said property; and

WHEREAS, the bid of said high bidder was accepted by the
31
City and the property ordered sold by the City Council;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
I
Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant
2
deed on behalf of the City of Newport Beach granting the above
3
described real property to said high bidder or to the person
4
designated by him in writing.

This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
6
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 26th day of
7
October, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:

Higbie,.Stoddard, Hart, Lorenz, Somers

NOES, COUNCILMEN: None

-the foregoing Resolution No, 5108 was duly and regularly adopted,

Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council held

at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 26th day of October,
