1 RESOLUTION NO. 5139
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
3 CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND NEWPORT MESA
COUNTY WATER DISTRICT FOR THE SALE AND EXCHANGE
4 OF WATER .

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
7
for its acceptance and approval a contract between the City of
8
Newport Beach and Newport Mesa County Water District wherein the
9
City agrees to supply the District with water on an emergency
10
basis in case the Districtis supply is interrupted and in which
11
the District agrees to supply the City with water at the City
12
disposal site in accordance with the terms set out therein; and
13
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms and
14
conditions of said contract and found said terms to be fair and
15
equitable;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said contract betwei
17
the City of Newport Beach and Newport Mesa County Water District
18
be approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
19
and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport
20
Beach.

This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
22
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 28th day of
23
December, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
