A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF

A GRANT DEED

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
6
publicly invited bids for the purchase of surplus City property
7
consisting of:

Lot 7, Block 50, River Section, in the City of Newport
Beach, County of Orange, State of California as per map,
9
recorded in Miscellaneous Maps, Book 4, page 25, records of
Orange County, California, and a portion of Section 29, Town -
10
ship 6 South, Range 10 West, of the San Bernardino Meridian,
according to an official plat of said land filed in the
11
District Land Office, August 4, 1890, and more particularly
described as follows, to wit:

Beginning at the westerly corner of said Lot 7; thence
13
northeasterly along the northwesterly line of said Lot 7
and along the northeasterly prolongation of the north-
14
westerly line of said Lot 7 to an intersection with the
line of Ordinary High Tide of the Pacific Ocean in Newpor
15
Bay designated as "SOUTH LINE ", in final decree entered
August 22, 1928 in.Superior Court action 23686, a certi-
16
fied copy thereof being recorded September 19, 1928, in
Book 201, page 2533 official records of said Orange
17
County; thence southeasterly along said "SOUTH LINE"
to an intersection with the northeasterly.prolongation
18
of the southeasterly line of the aforesaid Lot 7;
thence southwesterly along said northeasterly prolonga-
19
tion and along the southeasterly line of said Lot 7 to
the southerly corner of said Lot 7; thence northwesterly

along the southwesterly line of said Lot 7 to the point
of beginning.

Excepting therefrom the southwesterly 119.00 feet of the
22
above described property;

and
24 WHEREAS, bids were received by the City Council on
25 December 14, 1959, at which time Mr. and Mrs. E. Ballif were the
26 high bidders for the purchase of said property; and
27 WHEREAS, the bid of said high bidders was accepted by
• 28 the City and the property ordered sold by the City Council;
• 29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
30 Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant
31 deed on behalf of the City of Newport Beach granting the above
32 described real property to said high bidders or to the person

designated by them in writing.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 28th day of
December, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:

of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
