RESOLUTION NO. 1163
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING A PORTION OF
AN ALLEY RUNNING NORTHERLY FROM SHORT STREET
BETWEEN NEWPORT BOULEVARD AND CLUBHOUSE AVENUE
WHICH IS PROPOSED TO BE VACATED, CLOSED UP AND
ABANDONED
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport Beach
has presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach a
certain map entitled "Plan Showing Portion of Alley to be Vacated
Adjacent to Lot 7, Block 634, Canal Section ", Drawing No. L -2907,
dated January 29, 1960, showing a portion of an alley running
northerly from Short Street between Newport Boulevard and Club-
house Avenue in the City of Newport Beach which the City is con-
sidering vacating, closing up and abandoning, and which portion is
more particularly described as follows:
That portion of the alley 10 feet in width adjacent to
Lot 7, Block 634, as shown upon a map of Canal Section,
recorded in Miscellaneous Maps, Book 4, page 98, records
of Orange County, California, and more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of said
Lot 7; thence southeasterly along the southeast-
erly prolongation of the southwesterly line of
said Lot 7, 2.27 feet, more or less, to an inter-
section with the easterly line of State Highway
ORA -43, said easterly line being a,curve concave
to.the east and having a radius of 1048.00 feet;
thence along said curve in a northerly direction
11.59 feet, more or less, to the intersection
with the easterly line of said Block 634, Canal
Section; thence southerly along said easterly
line to the point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said map be and is
hereby approved and adopted, and the City Clerk is ordered and
directed to file the same in the proceedings for the abandonment
of said portion of said alley.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 8th day of
