RESOLUTION NO. 51h5
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
EXTERIOR PAINTING OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
CITY HALL AND EXISTING POLICE BUILDING AND THE
INSIDE PAINTING OF THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting Bids for work
consisting of the exterior painting of the City of Newport Beach
City Hall and existing Police building and inside painting of the
City Hall Council Chambers, at Newport Beach, California, in
accordance with plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids
were received on the 18th day of February, 1960, and publicly
opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
for such construction work is Larco Painting Co.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Larco
Painting Co. in the amount of $2,696.00 be accepted and that the
contract for the construction work be awarded to said Larco Painting
Co.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
an executed copy to the successful bidder.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 23rd day of
February, 1960, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley, Atkinson;
Higbie, Stoddard, Hart. Lorenz, Somers
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 5165 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 23rd day of February 19 60 , by the following
vote, to wit:
