RESOLUTION 140. 5170
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
3 CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS, DECKS, WALKS,
PLANTING AREAS AND RELATED FACILITIES AT
4 CORONA DEL ROAR STATE AND CITY. BEACH PARR

6 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
7 consisting of the construction of buildings, decks, walks, planting!i
8 areas and related facilities at Corona del Mar State and City Beach
9 Park, in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore
10 adopted, bids were received on the 18th day of February, 1960, and
11 publicly opened and declared; and
12 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
13 for such construction work is David Young Builder, Inc.;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of David
15 Young Builder, Inc., in the amount of $68,454, reduced to $65,834
16 by a deduct item and an initial change order deleting a fountain
17 drain, be accepted and that the contract for the construction work
18 be awarded to said David Young Builder, Inc.
19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
20 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
21 with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
22 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
23 an executed copy to the successful bidder.
24 This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
25 City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 23rd day of
26 February, 1960, by the following vote, to wit:
27 AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley, Atki -nion,
28 Figbie, Stoddard, Hart, 'inners
29 NOES, COUNCILMEN: Lorena

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 23rd day of February 19 60 by the following
vote, to wit:
