RESOLUTION NO. 5188
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EUCUT ION OF.A
CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, the City has heretofore requested that the
Metropolitan Water District approve the construction of a service
connection at the corner of San Joaquin and Palisades Roads in the
City of Newport Beach in order that water may be withdrawn from
the Orange County feeder line of the Metropolitan Water District;
and
WHEREAS, Metropolitan has approved the construction of
this connection and the same will be a benefit to Lockheed Aircraf
Corporation and The Irvine Company; and
WHEREAS, a contract has been presented to the City
Council in which The Irvine Company and Lockheed agree to share
the cost of such construction equally with the City of Newport
Beach; and
WHEREAS, the terms of said agreement appear to be fair
and equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement
on behalf of the City.
