RESOLUTION NO, ,5�
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING DEPARTMENT HEAD
AND OTHER KEY PERSONNEL POSITIONS
WHEREAS, the resolution establishing personnel policies
for City employees, adopted pursuant to Section 2200 of the Newport
Beach Municipal Code, authorizes the City Council, on recommendation
of the City Manager, to list by resolution department head and other
key personnel positions which shall be excluded from certain pro-
visions of the City °s compensation plan; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5106 lists such positions, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the list
of department head and other key personnel positions be revised, and
the City Council has concurred with his recommendation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective July 1, 1960,
Resolution No. 5106 is rescinded and that, pursuant to the resolution
establishing personnel policies for City employees, as it now exists,
or any succeeding resolutions;. the following is a list of the depart-
ment head and other key personnel positions which, pursuant to said
resolution, shall be excluded from certain provisions of the City °s
compensation plan:
Assistant City Attorney
Assistant Civil Engineer
Assistant Public Works
Director
Assistant to the City
Manager
Associate Civil Engineer
Building and Safety
Director
Chief Lifeguard
City Engineer
City Librarian
Community Center Director
Finance Director
Fire Chief
General Services Director
Marinapark Attendant
Marinapark Manager
Park Superintendent
Parks, Beaches and Recrea-
tion Director
Planning Director
Police Chief
Public Works Director
Purchasing Agent
Recreation Supervisor
Water and Sewer Superintendent
ADOPTED this 27th day of June, 1960.
