2 A RZSOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPOP.T BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EMCUTION OF A
3 CONTRACT WITH BALBOA IMPROVEIZI TP ASSOCIATION, INC.

5 UIMR AS, the City owns Lots 8 and 9 in Block 9 of Balboa
6 Tract; and
7 T- MEREAS, a portion of said lots is vacant and would be
8 suitable for a parking lot; and
9 T10REAS, Balboa Improvement Association, Inc., has
10 requested permission to improve a portion of said lots and provide
11 a parking lot thereon; and
12 TAMEREAS, it would be to the mutual benefit of the City
13 and the Association and in the public interest to have said
14 property improved for parking purposes;
15 NM-J, THE EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
16 hereby approves that certain contract dated the 27th day of
17 August, 1962, with Balboa Improvement Association, Inc., under
18 which said Association is authorized to improve and use for parking
19 purposes,for an initial term of two years with an option to
20 extend the term for a period of two additional years, that portio
21 of Lots 8 and 9 not used for street purposes or for the public
22 restroom located thereon, upon malting an annual payment of $300 to
23 the City beginning September 1, 1963.
24 BE IT FURTIMR. RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be
25 and are hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the
26 City.

the foregoing Resolution Noe 5661 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 11th day of September. , 19 62 , by the following
vote, to wit:
