2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A.PROCEDURE FOR
3 EXPENDITURES FOR CC*3UNITY.PROMOTION

5II WHEREAS, the budget contains an activity entitled "Com-
b I` munity Promotion "; and
7 WHEREAS, the expenditure for the purpose of community
8 promotion is a matter of interest to the City Council in estab-
9 lishing the policies of the City; and
10 WHEREAS, in order to set policy with respect thereto it
11 is necessary that the City Council authorize each expenditure from
12 that activity where the amount of such expenditure exceeds $250;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that no single expenditure
14 from the Community Promotion Activity of the budget exceeding the
1511 amount of $250 shall hereafter be made without specific approval
16II of the City Council expressed by motion.
17 ADOPTED this 10th day of September, 1963.
