2 A RESOLUTION'OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NM?PORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
3 CONTRACT.WITH BOOK PUBLISHING COMPANY

5I WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
6 intends to'enter into an agreement for the recodification of the
7 Municipal Code; and
8; WHEREAS, the City Council has considered a number of
9 proposals from companies experienced in the field of municipal
10 codification; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council has received a proposal from
12 Book Publishing Company of Seattle, Washington, dated March 15,
13 1962, which, after consideration of all proposals received, the
14 City Council has determined to be the most satisfactory for the
15 needs of the City; and
16 WHEREAS, Book Publishing Company has an outstanding repu-
17 tation in the field of municipal codification and appears to be the
18 best qualified of those companies considered;
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
20 Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with
a 21,Book Publishing Company for the recodification of the Newport Beach
22 Municipal Code based on their proposal of March 15, 1962.
23 ADOPTED this 14th day of December, 1964.
