2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NWPORT BEACH A19ARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE SAND
3 REPLENISIZOINT OF WEST NEWPORT OCEAN BEACH (SECOND
CONTRACT - 1966) (CONTRACT NO. 1070)
5 WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
6 consisting of the sand replenishment of West Newport Ocean Beach
7 in the City of Newport Beach, in accordance with the plans and
8 specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 10th
9 day of October, 1966, and publicly opened and declared; and
10 T47HEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
11 therefor is C. E. Hurley Contracting Corporation

12 NOIVT THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of
13 C. E. Hurley C *ntracting Corporation in the amount Of
14 513,000.00 be accepted and that the contract for the
15 sand replenishment work be awarded to said bidder.
16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
17 are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accord
18 ante with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the
19 City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to
20 furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.

Resolution No; R -6453 was duly and regularly adopted,
passed, and approved by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council held at the
regular meeting place thereof, on the 10th day of October
