RESOLUTION NO. 6510
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH FINDING. THAT CERTAIN .CITY-OWNED -
1uATER FRONT IS. NOT. FOR USE AS A PUBLIC
BEACH OR PARK
WHEREAS, the City holds title to the real property herein-
after described; and
and
LEAS, said real property fronts on the Pacific Ocean;
WHEREAS,, Section 37351 of the Government Code of the
(State of California provides that the legislative body of a city
shall not sell or convey any portion of a water front, except to
the State for use as a public beach or park, unless by a four - fifths
vote of its members the legislative body finds and determines that
,the water front to be sold or conveyed is not suitable for use as
a public beach or park; and
IMEREAS, it appears that said property is not suitable
for use as a public beach or park and it would be in the public
interest to sell said property;
NOWs THEREFORE5 BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
hereby finds that the hereinafter described real property is not
suitable for use as a public beach or park:
All that certain land situated in the State of California,
County of Orange, City of Newport Beach, described as
follows:
A portion of Section 35, Township 6 South, Range 10 West,
S', B. B. & NI, and a portion of Section 2, Township 7 South,
Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M. more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of Lot 8 in Block 22
of Eastside Addition to Balboa Tract as shown on a Hap
recorded in Book 4, page 20 of Hisceilaneous Maps, records
of Orange County, California; thence South 70° 101 OW'
East along the Southwesterly line 3.73 feet to the true
point of beginning of this description; thence continue
South 70° 101 00" East along the Southeasterly prolonggation
of the Southwesterly line of said Lot 8, a distance of 26.22
feet to an intersection with the Southwesterly prolongation
of the Easterly line of the West 30 feet of said Lot 8;
thence North 19° 501 00" East along said Easterly.line, a
distance of 9.46 feet to the Southerly line of said Lot 8;

thence West along the said Southerly line, a distance of
27.87 feet to the true point of beginning of this description.
ADOPTED this 14th day of February, 1967.

do hereby certify that according to the records of the City of Newport Beach
filed and maintained in my office, the foregoing Resolution No. 6510 was
duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council
held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 14th day of February , 1967,
by the following vote, to wit:
