RESOLUTION N0. 6771
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING A GRANT OF EASEMENT
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company, a West Virginia corpora-
tion, has executed and delivered to the City of Newport Beach
a Grant of Easement by which there is granted to the City an
easement for street and highway purposes in the City of Newport
Beach, County of Orange, State of California, over those portions
of Lot 151 of Block 5, Lot 153 of Block 4, and Block 52 of Irvine °s
Subdivision, per map thereof recorded in Book 1, Page 88 of Miscel-
laneous Record Maps, records of said county, and those portions of
Lots 308, 318 and 328 of Newport Heights, per map thereof recorded
in Book 4, Page 83 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said county,
included within the following described parcels:
Parcel 1: A strip of land 100.00 feet in width, lying 50.00
test on each side of the following described centerline:
Beginning at the point on the Southeasterly prolongation of
the centerline of Twenty- second Street, distant S. 50° 00°
35" E. 10.00 feet from the centerline of Irvine Avenue, as
said Twenty- second Street and Irvine Avenue are shown on
said map of Newport Heights; thence, N. 390 58° 45" E.,
parallel with said centerline of Irvine Avenue, 335.01 feet
to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Westerly and
having a radius of 490.00 feet; thence, Northerly, along
said curve through a central angle of 53° 39° 04 ", a distance
of 458.83 feet; thence, tangent to said curve, N. 13° 40°
19" W. 110.24 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve con-
cave Easterly and having a radius of 550.00 feet; thence,
Northerly along said curve, through a central angle of
530 39° 59 ", a distance of 515.16 feet to the point of
tangency of said curve with a line parallel with and dis-
tant 10.00 feet Southeasterly from that certain course on
the centerline of Irvine Avenue Extension described as
N. 400 00° 001° E. 132.63 feet in the deed to the County of
Orange, recorded in Book 2512, Page 446 of Official Records,
records of said county; thence, N. 390 59° 40" E., along
said parallel line, 465.40 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve concave Westerly and having a radius of 370.00 feet;
thence, Northerly, along said curve, through a central angle
of 630 43° 00 ", a distance of 411.46 feet to a reverse curve
concave Easterly and having a radius of 550.00 feet; thence,
Northerly, along said reverse curve, through a central angle
of 63° 43� 00 ", a distance of 611.64 feet to the point of
tangency of said reverse curve with a line parallel with and
distant 10.00 feet Southeasterly from that portion of the
centerline of Irvine Avenue shown as N. 390 58° 45" E.
113.82 feet on the map of Tract 3138 recorded in Book 103,
Pages 31 to 33 inclusive of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
said county; thence, N. 390 59° 40" E. along said parallel
line, 153.83 feet to the Northeasterly line of Santa Isabel
Avenue as shown on said map of Tract 3138. The sidelines
of this strip of land are extended or shortened to terminate
Northerly on said Northeasterly line of Santa Isabel Avenue
and the Southeasterly prolongation thereof, and to terminate
Southerly on said centerline of Twenty- second Street and the
Southeasterly prolongation thereof.
Excepting therefrom that portion included within Lot 1 of
Tract 4224, per map thereof recorded in Book 157, Pages 1
to 14, inclusive of said Miscellaneous Maps.
Parcel 2- That portion of said Lot 328 bounded Southeast -
er — 7'Uy the Northwesterly line of Parcel 1, above described,
• bounded Northeasterly by the Southwesterly line of Twenty -
third Street, 60 feet wide, as shown on said map of Newport
Heights, and bounded Westerly by the arc of a curve concave
Westerly, having a radius of 25.00 feet, and being tangent
to said Northwesterly and Southwesterly lines.
Parcel 3: That portion of said Lots 151 and 153 described
as follows: Commencing at the centerline intersection of
Santa Isabel Avenue and Irvine Avenue, as shown on the map
of Tract 3138 recorded in Book 103, Pages 31 to 33 inclusive
of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County; thence,
S. 500 018 25" E., along the Southeasterly prolongation of the
said centerline of Santa Isabel Avenue, a distance of 10.00
feet; thence, N. 390 59' 40" E. 69.70 feet to the beginning
of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly and having a radius
of 775.00 feet; thence, Northeasterly, along said curve,
through a central angle of 28° 588 54' a distance of 392.02
feet to a line tangent; thence, N. 11g 008 46" E., along said
line tangent, a distance of 189.18 feet to the beginning of a
tangent curve concave Southeasterly and having a radius of
775.00 feet; thence, Northeasterly along said curve through
• central angle of 280 59' 04 ", a distance of 392.05 feet to
• line tangent, said.line tangent being parallel with and
20.00 feet Southeasterly from the centerline of Tustin.

174, Pages 31 and 32 of Miscellaneous: Maps, records of said
Orange County; thence, S. 50° 008 10 ".E. 10.00 feet to a
line parallel with said centerline of Tustin Avenue (said
centerline being also the Northwesterly line of said Lot 153),
and distant Southeasterly therefrom 30.00 feet; measured at
right angles, and the tr oint of beginning; thence, along
said parallel line, N. ue E. feet to a line
parallel with the Northwesterly line of said Lot 151 and
distant Southeasterly therefrom 30.00 feet; measured at
ri §ht angles; thence, along said parallel line, N. 390 598
16 E. 1234.81 feet to the most Westerly corner of the land
described in the Grant of Easement to the City of Newport
Beach recorded January 13, 1967 in Book 8152, Page 562 of
Official Records, records of said Oran §e County; thence,
along the boundary of said land, S. 50 00' 44' E. 20.00
feet to a line parallel with said Northwesterly line of Lot.
151 and distant Southeasterly 50.00 feet therefrom, measured
at right angles; thence, S. 39° 598 16" W., along said
parallel line, 10.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave Southeasterly and having a radius of 950.00 feet;
thence, Southwesterly, along said curve, through a central
angle of 8° 06' 36 ", a distance of 134.47 feet to•a reverse
curve concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 1050.00
feet; thence, Southwesterly, along said reverse curve,
through a central angle of 8a 06' 36" 148.62 feet to the
• point of tangency of said reverse curve with a line paral-
lel with said Northwesterly line of Lot 151 and distant
Southeasterly 70.00 feet therefrom, measured at right
angles; thence, S. 390 59' 16" W. 942.66 feet, along said
parallel line to a line parallel with said Northwesterly

line of Lot 153 and distant Southeasterly 70.00 feet there-
from, measured at right angles; thence, along said parallel
line, S. 390 59' 50" W. 333.38 feet to the line bearing
S. 500 00' 10" E. from the true point of beginning; thence,
N. 500 00' 10" W. 40.00 feet to the true point of beginning.
. Parcel 4: That portion of said Lot 151 lying Northerly of
the arc of a curve concave Southerly, having a radius of
25.00 feet, and being tangent to a line parallel with the
Northwesterly line of said Lot and distant Southeasterly
50.00 feet therefrom, measured at right angles, and being
tangent to that portion of the Southwesterly boundary of the
land described in the Grant of Easement to the City of New -
port Beach, recorded January 13, 1967 in Book 8152, Page 562
of Official Records, records of said Orange Count, described
in said Grant as, "N. 50° 12' 02" W. 1007.47 feet$. Excepting
therefrom that portion lying Northerly of said boundary
and
Parcel 5: That portion of said Lot 328 described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the Southwesterly line of
23rd Street,. 60.00 feet wide as shown on said map of Newport
Heights with the Northwesterly line of Parcel 1, above
described; thence S. 390 59' 40" W., along said Northwest-
erly line, 25.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave Westerly and having a radius of 25.00 feet; thence
Northerly, along said curve, through a central angle of
460 02' 52 ", a distance of 20.09 feet to the true point of
beginnin&; thence, continuing along said curve, Northerly.
through central angle of 43 56' 44 ", a distance of 19.17
feet to the point of tangency of said curve with said South-
westerly line; thence N. 49 59' 56" W., along said South-
westerly line, 22.27 feet to a non - tangent curve concave
Northeasterly and having a radius of 27.50 feet; thence
Southeasterly, along said curve, through a central angle
of 410 48' 07r, a distance of 20.06 feet to the point of
tangency of said curve with a line parallel with said South-
westerly line, and distant Southwesterly 7.00 feet there-
from, measured at right angles; thence S. 490 59' 56" E.,
along said parallel line, 21.29 feet to the true point of
beginning.
Subject to covenants, conditions, reservations, restrictions,
rights of way and easements, if any, of record;
WHEREAS, it is to the interest of the City to accept
said Grant of Easement for such purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Grant of Ease-
ment is hereby accepted and the City Clerk is authorized and
directed to execute and attach thereto a certificate of acceptance
. and consent to its recording and to record said document in the
County Recorder's office.
