RESOLUTION NO. 6802
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING PARKING METER ENFORCE -
MENT AREAS
WHEREAS, the City Council has established several park-
ing meter zones on the streets and highways of the City of Newport
Beach and has established certain off- street parking meter zones;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council determines that, due to geo-
graphical location and volume of activity, certain parking meter
areas within the City should be described and designated accord-
ing to their general purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that all parking meters,
both on the public streets and off - street, are to be designated
according to one of the following enforcement areas: recreational
areas; combination recreational - commercial areas; and commercial
areas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all parking meters located
in the following areas are hereby established and designated as
recreational area meters:
Fifteenth Street between Balboa Boulevard and Newport
Bay.
The easterly side of 15th Street between Balboa Boule-
vard and Ocean Front.
The City -owned land known as McFadden Parking Lot
lying within McFadden Place between Balboa Boulevard
and Ocean Front.
The City -owned land known as Ocean Front Parking Lot
lying oceanward of Ocean Front between McFadden Place
and 24th Street.
The City -owned land along 19th Street Beach known as
Bay Avenue, between 18th Street and 19th Street.
The parking spaces adjacent to the center line dividing
strip on Balboa Boulevard between 21st Street and 15th
Street.
The improved parking areas in Las Arenas Park, particu-
larly described as Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 117, Section
B, Newport Beach Tract.
The easterly side of Balboa Boulevard between 23rd Street
and 26th Street.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all parking meters located in
the following areas are hereby established and designated as combina-
tion recreational - commercial area meters:
Bay Avenue between Washington Street and Adams Street.
The northeasterly side of Balboa Boulevard between 23rd
Street and McFadden Place.
Newport Boulevard between 22nd Street and 26th Street.
Lido Park Drive between Lafayette Avenue and 28th Street.
Twenty- eighth Street between Lido Park Drive and The
Rhine.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all parking meters located in
the following areas are hereby established and designated as,commer-
cial area meters;
Main Street between Balboa Boulevard and Bay Avenue.
Balboa Boulevard between A Street and Adams Street.
Bay Avenue between A Street and Washington Street.
Washington Street between Bay Avenue and Newport Bay.
Palm Street between Balboa Boulevard and Ocean Front.
The westerly side of 15th Street between Balboa Boule-
vard and Ocean Front.
The southerly side of Court Avenue between McFadden Place
and 20th Street.
The northeasterly side of McFadden Place between Balboa
Boulevard and Ocean Front.
The southerly end of McFadden Place at the approach to
Newport Pier.
The southwesterly side of McFadden Place between 22nd
Street and Ocean Front.
Ocean Front between McFadden Place and 24th Street.
Twenty- second Street between Balboa Boulevard and Ocean
Front.
Twenty -third Street between Balboa Boulevard and Ocean
Front.
The westerly side of Balboa Boulevard between 22nd Street
and the first alley north of 23rd Street.
Newport Boulevard between 21st Street and 22nd Street.

including both roadways in the one -way section between

The City -owned land westerly of and adjacent to the
westerly roadway of Newport Boulevard, between the alley
southerly of 30th Street and extending to 28th Street.
Thirty- second Street between Newport Boulevard and Villa
Way.
The parking area on the Newport Boulevard frontage of the
City Hall property.
Central Avenue 150 feet south of Via Lido to Newport Bay.
Via Oporto between Central Avenue and 32nd Street.
Via Malaga between Via Lido and Via Oporto.
Via Lido between Central Avenue and Lido Island Bridge.
The City -owned and leased land easterly of and adjacent
to Central Avenue between Via Oporto and Newport Bay.
West Coast Highway between Newport Boulevard and the
southerly extension of Irvine Avenue.
Tustin Avenue between West Coast Highway and Avon Street.
ADOPTED this 24th day of June 1968.
