RESOLUTION NO. 6848
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING INTERSECTIONS AT WHICH
VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO STOP AND DIRECTING THE
TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO ERECT NECESSARY STOP SIGNS
WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
provides that whenever an ordinance or resolution designates and describes
an intersection at which vehicles are required to stop at one or more
entrances thereto, the City Traffic Engineer shall erect stop signs at
those entrances of such intersection where a stop is required and every
driver of a vehicle shall stop at such intersection; and
WHEREAS, certain intersections should be designated as intersections
where vehicles are required to stop at one or more entrances thereto as
hereinafter provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach that the following described locations are hereby designated
as intersections at which vehicles are required to stop, and the City
Traffic Engineer is hereby directed to erect and maintain stop signs at
each of said locations:
1. 22nd Street at the easterly entrance to Tustin Avenue
2. 22nd Street at the westerly entrance to Irvine Avenue
3. 21st Street at the easterly entrance to Tustin Avenue
4. 21st Street at the westerly entrance to Irvine Avenue
5. Francisco Drive at the westerly entrance to Irvine Avenue
6. Tustin Avenue at the southerly entrance to 21st Street
7. Tustin Avenue at the southerly entrance to 22nd Street
8. Tustin Avenue at the northerly entrance to list Street
9. Francisco Drive at the easterly entrance to Tustin Avenue
10. Windward Lane at the easterly entrance to Tustin Avenue
