RESOLUTION NO. 6931
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.DECLARING ITS.INTENTION TO
ORDER CERTAIN ADDITIONAL WORK TO BE DONE IN
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT_N0..51 PURSUANT TO THE
IMPROVEMENT .ACT OF 1911 AND GIVING.NOTICE OF
HEARING THEREON WHEN OBJECTIONS.TO SAID
ADDITIONAL WORK MAY BE.PRESENTED.TO THE CITY
COUNCIL
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of November, 1968, the City
Council adopted Resolution No. 6899 ordering certain work to be
done in Assessment District No. 51 pursuant to the Improvement Act
of 1911; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 8.5, Division 7 of the California
Streets and Highways Code, authorizes the City Council to order
changes in the work proposed to be done within an assessment
district; and
WHEREAS, the City Council acting upon the recommendation
of the Engineer of Work proposes to order additional work consis
of the addition of approximately one hundred fifty (150) feet of
paving in the location hereinafter described;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. The public interest and convenience require
and it is the intention to order certain additional work to be
done in Assessment District No. 51 consisting of the construction
of approximately one hundred fifty (150) feet of alley paving in
that un -named alley which lies parallel to 25th Street between
25th Street and 26th Street. The paving is to be done in that
portion of said alley adjacent to Lots 23 through 28 and 11 thro
16, Block 25 of the Newport Beach Tract as shown on Sheet 11A of
Drawing No. R- 5137 -S, copies of which are on file in the offices
of the Public Works Director and City Clerk.

1 Section 2. it has been determined that the estimated
2 cost of said additional work is Three thousand five hundred Dollars!

3 ($30500).
4 Section 3. Notice is hereby given that on the 10th day
Z, 5 of March, 1969, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers
6 of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, in the City Hall
7 at 3300 West Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach, any person having
8 any objection to the proposed changes may appear before the City
i
9 Council and show cause why said changes should not be ordered.
10 Written objections may be filed with the City Clerk by any
11 interested persons at any time prior to the hearing.
12 Section 5. The City Clerk is directed to publish this
13 Resolution of Intention in the Newport Harbor Ensign one time at
14 least ten (10) days prior to the date of hearing.
