RESOLUTION NO. 6 9 4 4
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING CERTAIN STANDARD SPECIFICA-
TIONS AND SPECIAL PROVISIONS IN CONJUNCTION THEREWITH
FOR USE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF ALL PUBLIC WORKS
PROJECTS WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has submitted
standard specifications for public works construction as written
and promulgated by the Southern California Chapters of the American
Public Works Association and the Associated General Contractors of
America, 1967 Edition with 1968 and 1969 Supplements; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has also sub-
mitted City Standard Special Provisions for use in conjunction
with the AGC /APWA Standard Specifications for Public Works
Construction; and
WHEREAS, said standard specifications have been approved
by the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interests of the City
of Newport Beach and in the best interests of the public to have
said standard specifications approved and adopted by the City
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that
said Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction be and
are hereby adopted and that the same shall hereafter apply to the
construction of all public works in the City;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that three copies thereof shall
be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk for use and
examination by the public and that copies thereof be made
available to the public at a cost equal to the cost to the City;
